Under the supervision of the Office of the Ministry of Education in Hadhramaut – Wadi and Desert, Al-Awn Foundation for Development and the Higher Institute for In-Service Teacher Training and Qualification – Seiyun signed an agreement to implement the educational component of the Access to Rural Education Project in Sah District, Hadhramaut Governorate.

The agreement aims to implement the diploma program and qualify 40 female teachers as part of the project.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdulaleh bin Othman, Executive Director of Al-Awn Foundation for Development, and Mr. Murtada Al-Saqqaf, Dean of the Higher Institute for In-Service Teacher Training and Qualification – Seiyun. The agreement was endorsed by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Falahoum, Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Education in Hadhramaut – Wadi and Desert.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Kamal Bamadhaj, Head of the Training and Qualification Department; Mr. Adel bin Marai, Head of the General Education Department; and Mr. Akram Bajaham, Project Manager.

The project is funded by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, in cooperation with Al-Awn Foundation for Development and under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. It forms part of efforts to reduce girls’ dropout from basic education and increase their enrollment in schools in rural areas.

The project targets 450 beneficiaries across six governorates and seven districts, providing educational and training opportunities that contribute to supporting girls’ continued access to education and improving the quality of education in rural communities.
