
Delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Al-Awn Foundation Visits Delta Technological University in Egypt to Strengthen Cooperation in Technical and Vocational Education
A delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training, along with Al-Awn Foundation for Development, visited Delta Technological University in the Arab Republic of Egypt to explore its experience in technological education and practical applications, particularly in the fields of Information Technology, Renewable Energy, and Prosthetics & Orthotic Devices.
The delegation included Dr. Hadi Al-Sabban, Cultural Attaché at the Yemeni Embassy in Cairo; Dr. Ahmed Kleib, Deputy Minister of Higher Education; Dr. Salem Bajaber, Director of the Ministry of Technical Education Office in the Hadhramaut Coast; Dr. Fahmi Fararah, Dean of the Community College in Seiyun; and Mr. Mohammed Al-Sabban, Director of Programs and Projects at Al-Awn Foundation for Development.
During the visit, the delegation toured the university’s specialized laboratories and workshops, reviewed student graduation projects, and attended the university’s Employment Forum, which was held with the participation of major industrial companies to enhance graduate opportunities in the labor market.
The delegation praised the high quality of the educational programs and the excellence of the student projects, emphasizing the importance of strengthening academic cooperation between the two countries and exchanging expertise to support the development of technical education and vocational training in Yemen, with a focus on Hadhramaut as a pilot model.
This visit is part of a broader tour by the delegation to several universities and technological institutes in Egypt to explore opportunities for collaboration and benefit from the Egyptian experience in developing technical education and linking it to labor market needs.
