
Hadhramaut Deputy Governor Honors Al-Awn Foundation for Development for Winning the Arab Institutional Commitment Award
The local authority of Wadi and Desert Hadhramaut honored Al-Awn Foundation for Development today in recognition of its receipt of the Institutional Commitment Award at the Arab level, presented by Misr El-Kheir Foundation and the Arab Center for Civil Society Sustainability.
Mr. Amer Saeed Al-Amiri, Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut for Wadi and Desert Districts, praised the foundation's achievement, affirming that this honor reflects the active role played by Al-Awn Foundation in implementing high-quality development and service projects, adhering to the highest standards of governance and transparency, and making a tangible impact in the community.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Bahshawan, Director General of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in Wadi and Desert Hadhramaut, stated that the foundation’s receipt of this award is a culmination of its ongoing institutional efforts, emphasizing the importance of continuing structured institutional work to enhance local development and achieve sustainability.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abdallah Abdulqader bin Othman, Executive Director of Al-Awn Foundation for Development, expressed the foundation’s pride in this achievement, noting that the award came after a comprehensive evaluation process involving over 200 Arab civil society organizations. This reflects the foundation's commitment to institutional standards and motivates it to continue delivering sustainable development initiatives that serve people and communities.
At the conclusion of the ceremony—which was attended by several officials and specialists—a commemorative shield of appreciation was presented to representatives of Al-Awn Foundation for Development.
