Al-Awn Foundation Organizes the Development Media Forum in Mukalla

Al-Awn Foundation for Development organized the Development Media Forum this morning at the Grand Hall of Bin Mahfouz Towers, with the participation of prominent media leaders, representatives of media departments from third-sector organizations, as well as a number of professionals and stakeholders in the fields of development and media.

The forum was held under the theme:
“Enhancing the Role of Development Media in Achieving the Goals of Third-Sector Organizations through Digital Content Creation and Institutional Communication.”

The event sought to highlight the strategic role of media in supporting sustainable development issues and to expand avenues of partnership between media professionals and development institutions.

The program featured two main sessions and a closing session with contributions from distinguished experts and specialists. Media professional Ezzat Wagdy delivered a paper on digital content creation and its role in advancing development media, while Dr. Ahmed Samir Mohamed presented on institutional communication and its impact on strengthening the presence of organizations in the media landscape. The sessions concluded with Dr. Abdullah bin Othman, who addressed the theme of development media and its connection to community goals.

The forum also included rich interventions from participants, along with remote contributions via video conferencing, which enhanced the exchange of expertise between media professionals and third-sector organizations. The event was streamed live online, allowing a wider audience to follow and interact directly.

The forum is expected to contribute to raising awareness of the importance of digital media and encouraging media professionals to adopt more impactful roles in supporting development issues. This, in turn, will foster greater integration between traditional and digital media and help create a sustainable impact for third-sector projects.
