Al-Awn Foundation for Development has signed the agreement for the second phase of the Access to Education in Rural Yemen Project in partnership with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, as part of joint efforts to expand educational opportunities and support community development.

The second phase will be implemented across several governorates, including Hadhramaut, Al Mahrah, Marib, Taiz, Lahj, and Shabwah, aiming to strengthen access to quality education in rural and underserved areas.

The project will qualify 450 female secondary school graduates and enable them to obtain a Higher Diploma in Teaching accredited by the Yemeni Ministry of Education. The initiative aims to reduce school dropout rates among girls, support the local educational workforce, and enhance the transfer of academic education to rural communities, contributing to long-term human capital development and sustainable community impact.
