Hadhramaut Governor Praises Al-Awn Development Foundation’s Contributions to Education and Vital Sectors
Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate, praised the developmental role played by Al-Awn Development Foundation in supporting education, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), empowering civil society organizations, and strengthening primary healthcare services.
This came during a meeting in Mukalla with the Foundation’s Executive Director, Dr. Abdullah Bin Othman, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the Governor was briefed on the Foundation’s key strategic directions and flagship programs, including support for solar energy, refrigeration, and air-conditioning specializations, as well as educational initiatives such as the Rural Female Teachers Project and the Happy Schools Project, in addition to programs aimed at strengthening the third sector and improving primary healthcare services.
The Governor emphasized the importance of investing in technical and vocational education and training and aligning its outcomes with labor market needs. He also stressed the need to strengthen partnerships with the private sector to create sustainable employment opportunities and support development pathways in Hadhramaut.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Bin Othman expressed his appreciation for the support and interest shown by the local authorities toward development interventions. He reaffirmed Al-Awn Development Foundation’s commitment to continuing its collaborative efforts with government institutions and the private sector to maximize the impact of grants and contribute to community development.
