Workshop in Seiyun Addresses Education Awareness and Alignment with Labor Market Needs, Funded by Al-Awn Foundation for Development
Within ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and strengthen its alignment with labor market needs, the Volunteers Foundation, funded by the Al-Awn Foundation for Development, organized a specialized workshop titled “Mechanisms for Raising Awareness of Education and Meeting Labor Market Requirements” in the city of Seiyun.
The workshop was inaugurated by His Excellency the Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate for the Valley and Desert Districts, Mr. Jama’an Salmeen Barba’, in the presence of the Director General of Seiyun District, Mr. Mohammed Awad Al-Amri, the Director General of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Attorney Ahmed Bahashwan, and the Director General of Technical Education and Vocational Training Office, Mr. Mahboob Aman. The event also witnessed broad participation from representatives of government institutions, the private sector, civil society organizations, and media professionals.
The workshop discussed several key topics focusing on enhancing community awareness of the importance of education and aligning educational outputs with the actual needs of the local labor market, contributing to improved employment opportunities and better-quality educational outcomes.
The workshop concluded with a set of practical recommendations and proposals aimed at strengthening mechanisms for raising awareness about education and enhancing coordination among relevant stakeholders to ensure better alignment between education and development needs in Hadhramaut Governorate.
