The activities of the Forum of Education Quality Partners, the Forum of Education Quality Partners in Yemen, concluded in Mukalla, in order to improve the outputs of education in the faculties of Education and the Qur’an, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, funded by Al-Awn Foundation for Development with the participation of 8 Yemeni universities in 8 governorates. .

 

The participants in the forum recommended activating quality standards in universities and colleges of education and the Holy Qur’an, as well as reviving the Higher Coordination Committee between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education, which was established in 2008 by a decision of the Prime Minister.

 

The forum urged the creation of effective partnerships between the colleges of education, the colleges of the Noble Qur’an and the local and regional community, with the establishment of a national team of educational experts to review and develop educational policies in the colleges of education and the Noble Quran.

 

The forum emphasized activating the work of the national tool for classifying Yemeni universities, promoting the culture of voluntary work in the targeted colleges and working to adopt it as a graduation requirement, in addition to drawing up a time plan for the colleges of education and the Holy Quran to obtain the Yemeni academic certificate of quality and accreditation.

 

The recommendations also included "adopting the colleges of education and the Noble Qur'an to modern trends in leadership, automating administrative and academic processes, and initiating self-evaluation of universities and colleges in accordance with academic accreditation standards."

 

The participants stressed the importance of benefiting from successful experiences in academic programs regionally and globally, with the importance of highlighting, publishing and exchanging successful experiences in the colleges participating in the forum.

 

It is noteworthy that the forum, which was launched last Monday, comes within the framework of the University Education Quality Partners project in Yemen, and included a four-day training program (Leadership Skills), with the participation of a number of leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Technical Education and Technical Training, the Ministry of Education and general managers of offices Education in the governorates, the leadership of Yemeni universities, and the leaders of the Faculties of Education and the Noble Qur’an in Yemen.
