With funding from Al-Awn Foundation for Development and implementation by Al-Manzoma Foundation for Development, an agreement was signed to develop the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning specialization.
The city of Mukalla witnessed the signing of an agreement between Al-Awn Foundation for Development and Al-Manzoma Foundation for Development to enhance the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning specialization at the Technical Industrial Institute in Mukalla.
This collaboration aligns with the shared efforts to support technical and vocational education in Hadhramaut Governorate and is in line with both organizations’ vision to promote sustainable development in Yemen.
Dr. Abdellah bin Othman, Executive Director of Al-Awn Foundation for Development, signed the agreement on behalf of the funding entity, while Mr. Abdulbasit Bakhadr, Executive Director of Al-Manzoma Foundation for Development, represented the implementing entity.
The program aims to introduce a transformational shift in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning specialization through three key components:
Dr. Abdellah bin Othman emphasized that this program is part of the foundation’s strategic vision, aiming to achieve a sustainable impact by ensuring continuous and increasing benefits for students and educators in the long term. He added that this collaboration would contribute to strengthening economic and social development in Hadhramaut and Yemen as a whole.
The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning specialization development program at the Technical Industrial Institute in Mukalla is expected to benefit 30 to 50 students annually, in addition to training 67 teaching staff members. Moreover, the program is expected to create new job opportunities for graduates and support the refrigeration and air conditioning sector, which is considered a vital industry in the local and regional job market.
