Al-Awn Foundation for Development, represented by its Executive Director, Dr. Abdellah Abdulqader Bin Othman, participated in the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Meetings 2024 held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The foundation's participation in these meetings, which will run from April 27 to 30, 2024, coincides with the celebration of the IDB's golden jubilee in the field of promoting economic and social development in 57 member countries.
Dr. Abdellah Bin Othman pointed out that the agenda of the bank's meetings includes sessions dedicated to knowledge sharing, seminars, and press conferences focusing on development, regional cooperation, and Islamic finance. He explained that the discussions will address pressing issues such as multidimensional poverty, cooperation, and financing sustainable development goals.
The foundation received an invitation to attend the IDB meetings for its membership in the steering committee of the (STEP) program, which includes a number of donors at the level of member countries and is managed by the IDB in more than 50 countries, in addition to the partnership that links the two sides in financing the "Solidarity" NGO empowerment project, which aims to combat poverty in Yemen.
